Kanna drinks are a small but growing category, and not every drink sold near kanna actually contains it. This guide checks the ingredient lists of the kanna drinks we could find, including Bonbuz, and covers the simplest option of all: adding kanna to your own drink.
Ingredient lists from each brand’s product page, checked September 30, 2026.

Does Bonbuz Contain Kanna?
Bonbuz’s drinks do not. Its kanna product is a separate one, Kanna Mood Pouches, which appears in the Bonbuz menu and in customer reviews from February 2026. When we checked on September 30, 2026, the pouches’ product page returned “page not found” and the site carried a sold-out notice, so we could not read their kanna content or ingredients.
The drinks are a different formula. The Bittersweet Citron page lists filtered water, natural flavors, acacia, agave syrup, purple carrot juice, citric acid, mushroom fiber extract, L-tyrosine, rhodiola rosea extract, rosemary extract, caffeine, 5-HTP, ginger root extract, vitamin B6 and niacinamide. Kanna is not on it.
The drinks contain 5-HTP, which acts on serotonin, as kanna does. That is a reason not to take a Bonbuz drink together with kanna, including Bonbuz’s own pouches.
The Simplest Kanna Drink: Make Your Own
- Kanna tea: steep powder extract in hot water. Our kanna tea guide covers how, and which extracts work.
- Droplets in a drink: Ultrakanna’s KannaDroplets can be taken directly or mixed into beverages. See our droplets comparison.
- Why it is simpler: you know the product’s published alkaloid content and choose the amount, with no caffeine or other actives added.

Can I mix kanna into a drink?
Yes. Droplets can be mixed into beverages and powder extracts can be brewed as tea. Do not mix kanna with alcohol.
